CasaTunes XLi includes both our CasaTunes Software and XLi card which can control music from up to four built-in audio internal sources, and one external source. The XLi card offers an advanced DVD-audio quality sound output with a matrix switch and preamplifier circuits built on the card. The XLi card is a full height PCI-e card. The card is easily installed in your PC which has an available PCI-e expansion slot X1 or greater or Media Center PC. The XLi card can play your music in up to 6 separate rooms in the home. The 6 stereo outputs that feed your multi-channel amplifier are labeled Z1 through Z6 on the XLi bracket. Each output consists of a 3.5mm pre-amplified high impedance output stereo jack. Using the CasaTunes software, the user can control the Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble and Loudness Compensation settings in each room. Included in the XLi solution are 6 cables used to adapt the stereo outputs to RCA connectors on the amplifier such as the SONAMP1230 The XLi card includes four built-in internal sources; music players which are used to play music from your Windows media library, iPod, iTunes Plus, iTouch, iPhone,iPad, SHOUTcastT or other Internet Radio. An external music source can be plugged into the L1 IN (line in) jack for a fifth source of music. This could be an XM or Sirius tuner, AM/FM tuner, satellite receiver, cable box, CD Player or other audio device. The CasaTunes XLi has an onboard hardware matrix switch, which allows you to switch any number of the sources to any number and combination of rooms. If playing a source in multiple rooms, the music is guaranteed to be perfectly synchronized in all rooms, with no delays and no echos. Our CasaTunes XLi provides all the control you need to manage your multi-room audio solution from anywhere in the home. If you need to add control from other locations in the home, you can use any supported web browser on any PC or Web device, such as the Nokia N810 or a Netbook, on your local network or you can opt to install our new CasaTunes Keypads in each room.
