Safe N Sound recently upgraded an audio system at a local bar in the Auckland region. The bar sound system was in need of an upgrade as there was a real "mish mash" of equipment over five zones most of which was not designed for commercial use. The customer brief was for an easy to use system, for the system to be centralised and a requirement for their system to be tidied up with new speakers indoors and out. Lee Dewerson contacted Ali at Now Sound for help to design a commercial system with the customers brief in mind. It was suggested they upgrade their system with a 100V sound system using a digital mixer to control all of the zones. A Cloud DCM1 digital mixer with CDR1 remote control panels for each zone was suggested. The DCM1 offers a very high level of flexible routing but without the need of a PC. Ali from Now Sound comments "The DCM1 has an installer mode which can be password protected, so functionality of the zones can be minimised which means the staff only have control over source selection and volume." The customer also requested that their wireless microphone automatically mute the music when in use which was easily handled with the mic priority feature. "The DCM1 with the CDR1 wall controllers is very simple to programme for a unit with a high level of versatility" Lee Dewerson said. "And more importantly is 100% user friendly for the customer to operate." A QSC ISA300T 100V amplifier was used to power the QSC AD-S82 speakers for the indoor and outdoor zones. Lee Dewerson comments "The QSC speakers both sound and look great!".
